The Dornier Medilas D MultiBeam is a compact, multi-functional diode laser capable of performing surgical, minimally invasive and transcutaneous procedures. With an output power of up to 80 watts, the system supports continuous or pulsed mode for procedures involving cutting, coagulation, ablation and vaporization.

The system's Lightguide Protection System (LPS)™ and fibertom™ model technologies provide special advanced safety and control features minimizing risk to the patient and the fiber.

Ideal wavelength

The absorption characteristics of the 940 nm wavelength is ideal for treating blood vessels and perfused tissue, making it perfect for vessel closure applications and surgical procedures.

In addition, the low melanin absorption allows for transcutaneous treatments on a wide variety of skin types.

Diode Power Bar Technology

The Dornier Medilas D MultiBeam is equipped with Diode Power Bar technology that combines individual high-performance diode bars in a single block with integrated cooling. The generated laser light is focused by micro-optics and coupled directly into the laser fiber. The advantages are higher efficiency than other technologies and long lifetime.

Waveguide protection system

Based on proprietary technology, the Dornier Medilas D MultiBeam is equipped with a unique Light Guide Protection System (LPS) that detects light emissions from excessive heat at the fiber end. When detected, the LPS system automatically turns off the laser to prevent damage to the fiber and tissue.

Fibertom™ mode

A uniform cut is produced using the fibertom™ mode by ensuring that the fiber tip temperature remains within set limits. This feature allows for a well-controlled application of energy while reducing charring and preventing damage to the fiber end.

Multifunctional

The Medilas D MultiBeam is ideal for the treatment of varicose veins and spider veins as well as a variety of surgical applications.

Treatment flexibility

The Angiospot external handpiece allows for transcutaneous treatment of a variety of vascular lesions, including spider veins, telangiectasias and hemangiomas.

Light guide versatility

There are a variety of fibers available with the Medilas D MultiBeam that can be used to perform endovenous laser treatment of varicose veins, as well as a variety of surgical applications using cutting techniques and coagulation techniques.
