High patient safety with the Patient Control System 
The integrated patient control system (PCS) from KLS Martin ensures that no burns can occur on the patient's skin. The system automatically adapts to the given tissue impedances; it is also able to recognize single or double neutral electrodes. Thus, if such a neutral electrode with a double contact surface has been connected, the ME MB 2 m system continuously monitors the correct application of the electrode. If the electrode does not have sufficient contact with the patient's skin, the user is alerted by an optical signal. The power supply is switched off.

Functional test
Each time the device is switched on, the KLS Martin ME MB 2 performs a self-test. If a fault is detected, no OK signal is emitted and the HF power output is immediately blocked. This means that the KLS Martin ME MB 2 can only be used if it is in perfect working order and therefore completely reliable. Any connected accessories are also checked for proper operation during the self-test.
