The Leica M-690 is an ophthalmic surgical microscope that provides highly contracted and detailed imaging.

The M-690 features a magnification changer and a 1:5 zoom focusing system, both driven by electric motors and controlled by foot pedals. The Leica system has an integrated illumination technology that links the magnification of the book to the field of view.

This allows the magnifications to be fully illuminated and the light intensity to be increased to help the surgeon stay focused.
